Quantity Surveyor
Murcom are a progressive and rapidly growing mid-size main contractor based in Dunboyne, Co. Meath with projects across Meath, Kildare, Louth & Dublin. Due to continued expansion, we now require a Quantity Surveyor for a full-time role.
Job Description
- Carry out all Quantity Surveyor duties including measurement, procurement, cost monitoring, cost control, reporting, preparation of interim payments and settlement of final accounts in a professional manner and timely manner.
- Take-off quantities from drawings using estimating software.
- Liaise with suppliers, send enquiries & collate quotes for various packages.
- Responsible for all aspects of cost management on the project.
- Preparing tender and contract documentation.
- Managing all payments to subcontractors and suppliers in accordance with company systems and procedures.
- Managing and valuing variations.
- Tracking design changes as a project evolves.
- Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with subcontractors, site staff and Client.
- Attend site meetings as required.
Requirements
- A third level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with others.
- Keen eye for QS matters with a strong interest in career progression.
- IT skills – knowledge of Microsoft software & cubit an advantage.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Good level and understanding of Construction Technology principles & details.
- The ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent numeracy and computer skills.
- Professional presence, dress and demeanour.
