TCD Print House

Overview

We were honoured to have been appointed and trusted with this enabling works contract for where the Book of Kells will eventually be re-homed. Our brief was to carry out a full internal strip out and to restore the fabric of the building fully including a full re-roof with salvaged blue bangor slates, restoration of existing timber sash windows, full restoration and cleaning of all masonry stone, re-instatement of original opes on the East Elevation and a full clean and restoration of the front portico and pilasters. The project was under strict scrutiny from Dublin City Council and from the In-house TCD Architectural team as every original facete of the building’s external enbelope was restored fully.
